Illinois Home Repair Inventory Presentation Set for March 3, 2026
An Illinois home repair inventory is taking shape, and you're invited to see the results. Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly (H.O.M.E.) is a leading organization in our coalition. Its intern, Dani Ediriweera, has been busy compiling a list of home repair resources for seniors across the state.

One of our coalition's goals is to inventory and publicize home repair programs that already exist for the people who need them. But we want to do more than post a list on our website. We want to create a space where organizations advocating for senior home repair can come together. Together, they can discuss successes and challenges.
The Need Behind the Illinois Home Repair Inventory
The need is real. According to the DePaul Institute for Housing Studies, more than 600,000 Illinois homeowners are low-income seniors. Three out of four of them live in homes more than 50 years old. Those homes need repairs or upgrades the owners cannot afford.
Illinois has a great need for home repairs. Programs also exist to meet that need. Dani's research helps connect the two.
Join us on March 3 as Dani presents her findings on home repair resources across the state. To stay connected to this work, join the Fix Our Homes Illinois Coalition today!
